By background I'm a healthcare professional — but I also run my own limited companies. For years I've done bookkeeping, payroll, Corporation Tax and Self Assessment myself.
That means I've sat where you sit: chasing invoices, watching cashflow, and facing a tax bill and a filing deadline at the same time. I know the pressure isn't only the numbers — it's not being sure you're getting it right.
Along the way I became frustrated with accountants: high fees, slow replies, jargon, surprise bills, and only ever hearing from them briefly once a year when time for planning has passed. I definitely knew it could be done better — so I now run Acuity Finance to do exactly that for others.
